Infections of the bladder usually are caused by bacterial or fungal infections. E coli Staphylococcus aureus chlamydia may also cause problems. With women the method of personal hygiene can be a factor. In general women are more susceptible due to the fact that the anus and vagina are closer than in the male.

Symptoms can include frequent and painfull urination. As always it is best doing a urine culture analysis.
