PSORIASIS
Psoriasis appears as patches of flakey scales usually on the legs, arms, elbows, scalp, and ears. Toes and fingernails can lose their shine and appear dull and flat.
This problem can be hereditary and is linked to rapid growth of cells in the skin's outer layer or epidermis that never mature. Infections can appear similar and for this reason a skin culture should be performed to rule out a fungal or bacterial infection.
Also needed is a CBC or complete blood count to check for the possibility of viral presence. A buildup of toxins can also trigger an episode. We have a very good therapy and diet that can help Psoriasis.
